ACT, PSAT & Formulas — Conversions, Selection Index, Must-Know Math
The rest of the testing stack: the ACT in both its Classic and Enhanced 2025+ formats, the official ACT↔SAT concordance in both directions, the PSAT math that decides National Merit (Selection Index, not total), and the formula sheet that separates what the SAT gives you from what it expects you to memorize. Same rules as the SAT tools: official anchors, visible ranges, nothing uploaded.
The tools
Two ACT formats, one scale
The Enhanced ACT (national from September 2025) shortened every section, made Science optional — and changed the composite to average English, Math and Reading only. The Classic 75/60/40/40 tables still score the practice material most students already have. The calculator handles both modes explicitly, so a raw count never gets scored against the wrong format's table.
Concordance, not conversion
ACT 30 doesn't 'equal' SAT 1360 — the two scores tell the same percentile story, per the jointly published 2018 tables. Anchors: 36 → 1570–1600, 30 → 1360–1380, 24 → 1160–1190. Read every conversion as a range; distrust any site that gives you one number without a source.
